OpenHulu Too Good for Digg?

So apparently some kind soul realized that we had updated the site and made the most amazing thing to ever touch the internet.

So like any internet villageman would they submitted it to Digg. Is this mildly interesting? Not really, people submit things to Digg all the time.

...but do they get banned?!

This Digg supporter, this finder of great news, this user of OpenHulu, was banned for submitting OpenHulu.com for its new features and updated content. Why was he banned? Well apparently the oh-so-smart employees at Digg thought that we are full of "illegal or restricted content". Obviously this was a miscalculation on their part. Hulu is a legitimate company that allows their users to embed videos. Its ingenius. They allow everyone to become a distributer so that they can receive the maximum views per video. More views means more ads seen, and more ads seen means more profit. Anyways, I decided to contact one of Digg's employees and see what was up. [edit - on request of the Digg employee I have removed the convo]

Update

So I ended up emailing Digg and explaining that OpenHulu was not illegal. It took a little persuasion and some quotes from Hulu's Terms of Use but I we finally worked everything out.

So everythings good! Now we just have to get on Digg again and give the world what they want! Quality television shows, organization, and the ability to go FULL SCREEN! Yeah, I know...I know...what else could you possibly need?

Well, keep your eyes peeled for our new domain/design. Again, if you'd like to help out hit us up on our contact page. Also...we need scouts for good (legal) video content. If you walk around the internet with a magnifying glass and you spend more time watching videos than sleeping you're perfect.
